Hi,

1 - first buy primary school English books, read them and make sure you understand everything you read.

2 - second take  formal classroom training for spoken english, it will certainly help you, in addition the others attending will be in the same condition so you will not be embarassed

3 - subscribe to two newspapers , one English and a Hindi or any other regional language that you know. Make it a rule to read the English paper and if you get stuck try finding out the same news in regional newspaper so that you can understand new words by reference.

4 - Start reading English books, watching english movies

5 - Start talking in English.. if ur friends make fun of you try it on people who don't know you :) at the shops , to Autodrivers, on phone!

And only with practice you'll be able to speak well in english, so don't give up in any case, keep trying and  be confident!

ya i understood ur problem

start reading newspapers i hope u have average english try improving reading books ...... try some websites using google to improve ur english

                        In order to improve your english you should try to speak english with everyone - to your friends, neighbours and if to your family members too.. and  even when you go to shops try to speak english with shop keepers...and also you may improve by reading newspapers (i.e) finding some words which you do no and getting the meaning..... atlast a practice makes a man better....

Hello Prakash, listen to the BBC on radio -- if you hear other people speak, even if it is on the radio or TV programs in English, it will help you and soon you will be able to say many sentences by just listening -- BBC for Aasia listeners  used to have a special program to help youngsters learn and repeat simple sentences.

I would suggest that you begin by talking formal speaking english classes. Then, on your own practice speaking with friends and collegues. Another good source to learn is to watch english movies and TV, as you will learn how to pronounce words and form sentences. Good Luck.
