In the UK for medicine the examinations are either of the following UKCAT, BMAT, GAMSAT. It's best to look at the university and see what entrance exam they require if any!

In the US you take the MCAT for acceptance into medical school. Once in medical school you take the US Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) steps 1, 2, and 3 (steps 1 and 2 are completed in medical school and step 3 is completed after an intern year in residency) or COMPLEX step exams if your're in a DO degree-granting school. You get your MD or DO degree once you've completed medical school, which takes 4 years for almost everyone. Then in order to become board certified in a specialty you complete a residency (and maybe a fellowship afterwards) and then take a licensing exam for that specialty after you've completed the program and have become eligible to sit for their board certification exam

Multiple exams:

MCAT-in order to apply to med school (taken on your 3rd yr of college). A good score is 30 or above; anything less decreases your chances of getting into med school.

USMLE Step I-taken in your second year of medical school.

USMLE Step II-taken in your last year of medical school. Med school is 4 yrs long.  If you don't take this test you can't start residency training in a hospital.

USMLE Step III-usually taken after your 1st yr of residency; once you pass it, you can apply for a DEA (write prescriptions)

Medical Board Exam-taken when you complete your residency training (usually residency is between 3-5 yrs long). Once you pass it, you are a board certified doc.

Every state has its own CET. Then there are pvt colleges who have their own entrance exams. Then there's AIIMS.
