  1. Oh I love children darling, my wife and I used to look after our own grandchildren many many years ago now. I'm very sorry that I'm unable to help you though I would suggest that you check your local papers or ask around for a recommended childminder. You take good care of you and your child.

  2. get in contact with the childrens information service, they can send out a list of all ofsted registered child minders in your area.

    good luck with your search

  3. You should ring your local council. I did, and ours had a list of registered childminders in my area. I found my childminder that way and she was brilliant. Then you know that their homes are safe because they are inspected and have to conform to regulations.

  4. Your local council will have a list of registered childminders.

  5. look up the ofsted website, and there will be a link to childminders in your area, or contact "Parentsdirect" in your area.  Or contact the National Childminders Association (NCMA). when you check them out, ask to see their registration to show they are properly checked and vetted, and ask about their qualifications and experience.  read their ofsted inspection report and ask around other parents for references.  I am a childminder with a good ofsted rating and I am quite busy.  I get most of my business from word of mouth and contacts at school.  Ask in the playground or see if your school recommends anyone.

Finally I would say that you might struggle to find a childminder willing to work until 8pm, that is rather late!  Most child minders do the school run at 3ish and the kids are gone by 6pm.  If that doesnt work, maybe a professional nanny might be the answer?  good luck.

  6. First let me say that you are quite a looker and your profile is very complimentary.

Now, be aware that your quest is in a dangerous field and that a wrong step, on your part, can put your 4 year old in grave danger. Please be careful who you trust with such a precious gift.

  7. try this,i dont know high wycombe but i found this link hope it helps. just make sure they are registered and ofsted approved, try your local library too they usually have lists or links to help you . good luck

found new link ,try the childcarelink.gov  quite a few names on there

  8. Contact your local social services and they will have a register of register approved childminders in your area who will be trained best be safe than sorry.

  9. try the yellow pages or the books you get on the door steps there will be hundreds of them to choose from, and im sure there will be some nannying people in the job section in news papers.

  10. Ask your friends and other mothers about this. I know lots of people who chose their childcare by reccomendations and word of mouth. People will always be more than happy to talk about their children so you may find that they'll be quite forthcoming on this.

Good luck finding the right childminder.

  11. Ask at school - they should be able to put you in touch with a childminder who picks up children from your daughter's school. If school staff don't know, you could also ask the mums at the older end of school, they tend to know what's what! They are more likely to only recommend good childminders. But, make sure they're registered.

  12. 1st I'd be very careful about asking for help online. Try a local church or daycare in your area and see if they run a pick up service and can pick your child up and keep them till you can find a "Nanny" to pick her up from daycare. You may find a Nanny service in your area. You can also run an ad and do the interviewing yourself and check out the person by the references of people that they have worked for in the past. Good luck and be safe with your choice.

  13. I would take a look at the Ofsted web-site, it will have a list of child-minders in your area, and then visit a few without your child to see what you think. If you find one you are happy with then take your child with you on your next visit. Please make sure that you can return at anytime to collect your child, without warning the child minder, if they disagree with this then don’t use them. Hope this helps, also you can phone the local council for a child-minders list.

  14. contact your local children and young people social serves offices they will be able to give you a list of the childminder that have been checked by them in your local area.

  15. The local council has a record of register child minders.  Also ask the school.

Make sure you get  professional to look after your child.

  16. Go to the Ofsted website, they will have fully vetted childminder's listed on there, or you could also look on your local council website as they sometimes have a list of local childminders

I put in a random High Wycombe postcode over a 20 mile search zone and come up with 4527 to choose from, hope it helps, the link is below

    http://www.ofsted.gov.uk/portal/site/Int...

  17. local churches can give you a great list.

call the pastor and ask if he knows of anyone who might be interested.
