It really depends on your local chemical regulations.  I would go into your local garden store and ask someone there.  They will know the local regulations and be able to help you.

Best isd per-emergent in the spring. Identify the weeds and plan for next spring.

You can get dandelions and all other broad leaf one with weed b gone. Double / triple check your application ratio as its easy to just breeze through it and destroy everything.

Pump up sprayers can apply it most economically and efficiently. Label or empty the sprayer so you dont confuse it's contents.

I use Verdona to get rid of the dandelions in my lawn it is very effective
