Distance from Amritsar to Wagah border? How to reach Wagah [by bus, rickshaw, taxi]? Timings of the Flag ceremony in summers?

Atari Border ( It is no more Wagah Border now ) is around 30 kms. from Amritsar city. Taxis & three wheelers r easily available but if your group is small, then hiring a 3 wheeler is a better choice. Govt run buses r also there but those are useless.

Retreat ceremony's timings are season based. In winter it is performed at 4.30 PM but in summers it is at 5.30 PM or a bit later. It also has to coincide with setting of the Sun.
