Hello friends can anybody please help me with the following?

I have got Philips DVD Mini-HiFi System FWD570. From last one week none of the Disks are reading. I cleaned the lens with Philips lens cleaning disk but in vain. Now even the Lens cleaning disk is also not reading. What might be the problem? Can I give it to any ordinary service or should I give to Philips service. But before giving I want to know what might be the reason for disk not reading.

a basic rule of consumer electronics.

as long as the good gets going the going gets good- use and throw.

get urself a new dvd player. it will give u a huge peice of mind instead of repairing the old one.

If it cant read any disks and you have cleaned the lens, then most likely the laser has gone south.  Unfortunately, that is an expensive repair.  You might consider buying an inexpensive CD player and plugging it into your Phillips unit.

if it is still under waranty, just send it to philip service
