  1. rule number one  Boss is always right.

rule number 2, when in doubt refer to rule no 1

  2. If the boss prefers denim, then you should wear denim. You can be stylish in denim and since it's very versatile it can be dressed up or down, depending on your duties for the day. Some employers prefer denim because it's comfortable, affordable, and most people aren't afraid to work hard in denim because they aren't afraid of messing up their clothes.

  3. The right thing to wear is what your boss tells you to wear, or else you will not have that job for very long. Your idea of stylish might be the boss's idea of inappropriate.

  4. If your boss says blue denims and a shirt or black trousers and a shirt, then wear it.  It's up to the boss to decide what image he/she wants the salon to project.  After he has seen you in denims with various styles of shirts, he may come back to you and say, "Gee, the denim doesn't cut it after all."  Or he may say, "I really like that cowboy-style shirt.  Wear something like that every day."

But do feel free to discuss with the boss the exact image they're trying to project and why they've chosen that image.  You may have some input that your boss hadn't thought of yet, and then you get brownie points for coming up with a new idea!

  5. Well I don't really have lots of experience in fashion but according to me and my likes i would recomend a manager to wear the following.

Some Black (or preferably Dark) Trousers/Skirt (I don't think that the denim would look good), with Silk Shirt or T-Shirt(Cotton) preferably light and bright colour.

If you want you can even wear a coat on the Shirt, will suit your designation.

By the in whicg saloon do you work??
