  1. appointments in my dentist r usually within 2weeks, less if its urgent.

NHS do pay 4 braces, etc they wont pay for the more exspensive things like veniers, or implants.  but will do crowns and bridges etc.

there would b a lot of horrible mouths running around without the NHS, as ppl would not beable to afford treatment privately as its so expensive.

  2. A) Depends on where you live in UK

    B) Usually No, unless you are under 16

  3. I work in a dentist you need to be under 18 to have braces also if you dont work you dont pay a penny in this country for any nhs matters why do you think we have so many refugees our goverment are a bunch of tossers also people come into my work just pretend they are on benifits i dont mind it aint coming out my pocket

  4. dental treatment is free if you under 18 or claim some kind of benifit, , but its so hard for anyone to get a nhs dentist, some people go private, even kids, and have to pay loads

with other health matters , yes doctors / hospital treatment is free , you have to pay for a prescription which is about 7 pounds. for operations  there is a huge waiting list , sometimes 10 years for non serious stuff, so some people do go private and get seen quicker. we do have some insurence schemes in place but thats optional

    hope i helped x

  5. Um, slight technical point, but I think you have to live in the UK and pay taxes there before you can have NHS treatment - but I could be wrong - knowing UK we would give NHS to everyone for free!

  6. For dental care there is 2 kinds on the NHS. If you are unemployed you dont pay a penny. But if you work then you have to pay a contribution.

It is very hard to find a dentist who will take on NHS patients anymore, so most people go private.

  7. when you visit the orthodontist she/he will have a set of pictures from 1-12 (6 on each side) 1-6 is classed as normal and 7-12 classed as server enough for nhs treatment.
