  1. In one day you can't visit Corsica from Rome. You can choose:

1.Rome-Livorno(train-about 4 hours), Livorno-Bastia(ship-about 5 hours). So, in Bastia you are in Corse and from here you have trains to Ajaccio(the capital of Corse).

    2.By plane:Rome-Paris and Paris-Ajaccio(or Bastia)

To Florence is better to go from Rome.

If you can don't miss Corsica. Have a wonderful trip !

  2. Ciao !! You can go from Livorno or from Piombino to Corse with a ferryboat http://it.geocities.com/traghetti2002/co... or http://www.elba-online.com/Informazioni/... but one day is not enough ! Then from Rome to Florence by train (about 2 hours)

  3. Try the over night ferry....You can rent a cabin and just sleep on board....www.moby.it  They leave out of Livorno or Civitavecchia. Civitavecchia is about 1 hr and 20 minutes from Rome by car. You can also take the train from there....
