i wud like to replace my surname wid a nick name??what are the procedures and how much is it going to cost??what do i need to do with my grade sheets and my college name ??please advice ...according to indian law

I believe that it is very expensive but just saying a cheaper way is just say your new name to friends and tell them to call you that, it won't be official and they wont use it some places like doctors office but its free!

really?  why bother?  just adopt a nickname you want to use and keep your real name.  Americans have trouble pronouncing most foreign names, but we're working on it.  As for you, it will be a hassle to have to use the court-sanctioned name change with your transcripts and other official documents for the rest of your life.
