  1. I don't know what Higher Art you're taking or what kind of project you have to do but I saw this today and if I had the time I would do something like this.

  2. aha what i did and still do is

get a piece of paper and kinda like wetish water paint and just splash it on the paper, then fold the paper in halve and rub it (sort of marble effect)

out of a fresh piece of paper , cut a square or round hole and go over your original marble effect paper , you will find a pattern draw around it and you will see things, photo copy it or dup[licsate it, this will give you a good repeated pattern , i tied died mine into t shirts really good effect quick and cheap to do

thats it as i dont k ow what design you are doing

my way of doing design can be used for wall paper or anything

    ]good luck

  3. Anything!  Something simple.  If you guys have a clay oven in your art department then the most obvious thing would be to mould something.  Make a cool pottery set.  Design it how you want.  Take something boring but make it cool.

Or sculpt something, figurative work, portraiture.

For design, I designed a poster for the school's drama show that year.

The idea in higher art is just to pick a subject and immerse yourself in it, then produce something, anything!  You just have to produce something and show you can develop and organise ideas.  That's all they're looking for.

You could make a toy.  That's what I would do if I could go back.  A cool toy figure.  Check out Juxtapoz.com for ideas.  My favorite magazine, full of great ideas.
