Hello i have a 97 ford ranger i loose backup lights and overdrive please help both work off the same fuse help

battery gage dropswhen lights are on one person said it was something to do with transmssion not sure again please someone help and thank you

According to the diagram, (fig.38) both are fed from fuse #26!

One possibility is that it could have been removed to disable the daytime running lights!
