hi?i marry of one women from sweden here in my country?and she travel then i start make documents for visa.then the enbassy sweden here in damascus say i must booking on e.mail for enter to embassy and we will call u after 11 months?so what i should call because too much long time?and my wife is alone and sick?please i need all advices?thanks

You need to apply for an EEA Family Permit visa. If you apply for this, and point out that your wife is an EU citizen, then EU rules give guarentees on the length of time the application can be allowed to take.

I'm not sure about Sweden, but I know that in the UK, everyone should apply under EEA rules, as there are no guarentees under UK rules. It may be similar for Sweden.

It also helps greatly to research the EEA and EU rules on family rights and to write angry, legalistic letters to the embassy and government. Embassies will usually speed up processing if they think you know your rights.

You should also be aware that your wife may live in any EU country and that you may join her there under EEA rules. If the Swedish embassy is causing problems, maybe your wife could move temporarly to Denmark, Norway or Finland and you could apply to join her there. It would be easier to then move to Sweden.

Short of that - you may need an immigration lawyer.
