  1. A good thing to remember (and i'm not trying to scare u) is that

u HAVE to fall about 15 or more times before u can ride well.

    try this site, http://www.wikihow.com/Ride-a-Bike

remember to wear gloves and a helmet!!!!!

    But gud luck

  2. Make sure you're going a good speed. At least 4-5 MPH or so. The bike simply will not fall over if you're going fast enough - That's physics for you.

A helmet is a MUST. Cycling gloves are also very good too. If you're really that worried though, get some elbow pads. If you do think you're going to fall though, try and fall to the left - That way you won't damage the front or rear mechs or the chainrings and chain.

  3. when you are a kid you learn better and faster how to ride a bike, but whatever your age is you still have to scare yourself otherwise you can’t learn.  keep practising.

  4. Since you're inexperienced, try a small frame like for an older child and raise the seat up a bit.   The riding will be awkward.  Ride slowly, and if you feel like you're going to fall, you can quickly plant your feet on the ground.  Maybe try a girl's drop frame bike and that will make it easier to mount and dismount.

Try getting old mattress and practice intentionally falling by falling into the mattress.

  5. Wear a pair of cycling gloves, these will protect you from abrasion if you fall.

  6. Ride faster.  When you are scared and ride too slowly, the bike wants to topple right over.  When you get up a little speed, the bike is much more stable and easy to handle, much like a car.  Just wear a helmet, old jeans that can get ripped up, and a long-sleeved shirt that you don't mind trashing if you fall.  Hop on the bike, and pedal away, and don't go slow!  I promise you will feel much more confident once you see how much easier it is to handle the bike when you are riding at a normal speed.
