  1. whenever u have spotting call ur doc asap or go to the er.. dont delay with things like that .. when it comes to bleeding, strong cramps.. any concern ring up ur gyn thats why theyre there for .. if ur 5 weeks by ultrasound. then its too early to see the heartbeat .. i saw it with mine at 6 1/2 weeks.. so dont worry about that .. but go get checked out.. dont mean to scare u or anything theres women who spot or bleed all throughout their pregnancies but sometimes it may be a bad sign .. so dont delay.. good luck hun !

  2. this sounds like the situation my mom went through. Please go find out if its and (excuse my spelling) ectopic pregnancy. This happened to my mom and the doctor said her spotting was fine! Weeks later she had to go in for surgery.

  3. Spotting in early pregnancy is usually not a good sign, but the no fetal heart rate should not be a worry yet. You are 5 weeks (not 7, u/s is more accurate than lmp). They couldn't find a heart beat for my baby by ultrasound until I was 6 weeks (I had a u/s at 4.5 weeks, not even a sac found, but blood work normal). I'm now 38 weeks pregnant and everything is going great. Give it a couple of weeks. Check with the OB in a couple of days, and get that ultrasound done to see if everything is progressing as it should. Good luck!

  4. You should go to the ER now!  I had a friend who had spotting in the early weeks and went.  They diagnosed her with a bladder infection.  They also told her if it goes undiagnosed in the first few weeks of pregnancy it could cause miscarriage.  She was treated & the rest of the pregnancy was fine.  The baby was fine too.  MUCH better to be safe than sorry.

  5. By a trans vaginal ultrasound they should be able to see a heartbeat by 7 weeks. Could your dates be off a little? The most important thing to look for are if your Hcg in your blood is doubling. I would call your OB first thing in the morning and ask for serial quantitive Hcg tests.
