  1. soiunds like constipation to me. have him drink more water and eat less dairy.  if it was dark blood i would be concerned however and would take him to the er.

is he lethargic, running a temp? acting wierd?

  2. if your son is constipated then it sometimes happens that a little blood shows in the poo this is caused by straining which may have caused a little tear when the poo was exiting his r****m. i had this problem with my son when he was 1 but it was mostly due to teething. but give him plenty of water and mix in a little sugar this helps loosen the motions or squeeze a fresh orange for every 1 oz of juice you should add 3 oz of water this helped my son clear it out of his system. if you are giving him formula milk then cut out one botle a day and give him water instead. constipation is quite common in babies try the juice and water and it should improve in 2-3 days but i'd also give him a mild laxitive to help him clear the blockage. you can get these in liquid form of a suppositry which you insert into the r****m. you can get both of these over the counter from you pharmacy.i hope this helps. but the blood is nothing to worry about it was more than likely caused by a tear. : )

  3. Call his pediatrician and see what he says. I have not heard of this with a child so young. It is better to  ere on the side of caution. Do it right away.

  4. he constipated and needs more water and fiber in his diet i used to have these problems myself  thats what the doctor recommeded for me

  5. You should call the doctor. Blood in the stool is not normal but it depends on the amount. If it's a lot definitely take him to be seen very soon. He could have just been straining himself a got himself a boo-boo on his bottom and made himself bleed like a hemorrhoid or something.

  6. Yes, it is normal, especially if the f***s are particularly large. I would guess the next time he has a bowel movement you will not notice it unless he is still constipated. You should check his diet. If your son is one he should still be eating a pretty basic diet. Lots of green veggies balanced with maybe an extra dose of fruits should get him regular pretty quick. Good luck!

  7. any time there is blood in the stool you should take them to the doctor. this could mean a variety of different things. i say it would be best to call it in to your ped
