She is a 6 month old boxer and we give her a bath about every two weeks but this time she came inside and bumped up. Do you think it can be anything else?

  1. maybe flea bite allergie or sensitive skin so you should get an oatmeal shampoo for dogs with sensative skin.

  2. It could be a lot of things.  Make sure all of the soap is thoroughly rinsed off her.  Allergies can happen even with something you've used for years.  Take her to the vet tomorrow if she is no better.

  3. Unless she's getting super stinky and greasy I wouldn't bathe her more than once a month, maybe even two months since she has a short coat.  I don't bathe my collie mix more than once a month and he does just fine.  Eight-in-one has a whole line of dog shampoos, I use the anti-shed kind, but I'm sure they have a sensitive skin or hypoallergenic shampoo; that might help out a bit with the skin problem.  You should be able to find it in any PetSmart or PetCo.

    Good luck!

  4. My boxer had all kinds of skin issues when she was a puppy. Oatmeal based baths worked better, and I ultimately after spending$$$ at the vet on biopsies, etc., switched her food to a natural food for "sensitive stomachs" because they tend to develop food allergies.

  5. Allergies tend to be from things we use frequently more often than new things. Imagine a bucket keep adding water and one day it will overflow. It doesn't happen with everything in our lives luckily. The dogs tolerance to the shampoo is over try another.

  6. u might be giving her a bath 2 often so the oils in her skin is gone so she is breaking out
