  1. I am an extended member of the Italian royal family.. which is now defunct (since we lost WW2)..

I was born in Milano but my family are mostly from Torino.. and we have a lot of property there including a building with our family name stamped on it..

Sadly.. we migrated at a young age.. due to the politics of things.. and my father being a well known leftist..we ended up on the other side of the planet..

I've travelled back but not recently.. not enough to enjoy it.. but have always dreamt of returning.. hopefully soon.. and setting myself up in Milan.. but I'd love to find a hot Italian girl and travel the whole country.. and start a big italian familia.. luckily I speak and write academic italian.. made sure of that..

I love the riviera coastline.. and I have family in Genova.. which is lovely if you like old historical churches.. it has an awsome aquarium.. lots of hillside cafes and restaurants.. the whole coast is made famous with it's yatching heritage.. historic boat building centre.. including Christopher Columbusses home.. which is in Genova too.. I touched it.. lol..

My favourite church in Genova.. is one made from many different pillars donated by ancient kings from all over the world.. the locals say the church is truly blessed.. when I went inside there stood an odd feature.. the local continued to tell that during WW2.. the church was packed out and a bomb fell through the middle of the roof.. I looked over and in the corner stood as a monument a 2 foot tall bomb.. it had failed to detonate..

Italy has lots of history.. if you go to Torino.. make sure you visit the Egyptian Museum siad to the be the 2nd best egyptian museum out of egypt..

In Milan central .. I noticed the homeless people.. looked better than some of the well heeled.. I once watched a guy who I thought was really well dressed.. lie down under a fountain.. turned out he was a bum.. lol.. typical Milan.. even the bums have style..

  2. hello!I'm an italian girl,i live in bari.l'Italia is a very beautiful country ! is necessary seeing everything, from sicilia to the inhabitant of Trent!!!from palermo to milano!!!people are very kind, boys are very handsome and romantic .... . and above all calienti! if you are not well must get back still and not there will regret ! and then there is much to be visited ! either I I live here know her well!

  3. I want to move to Italy maybe Sicily because of your food, weather, history and architecture.

  4. I always thought Italy would be charming.  Until my sisters went this summer.  The people were horribly rude about them being American (except in the small villages),  the weather atrociously hot (and we live in Texas!) and they had odd rules like it you put your purse on a table, you had to pay for it.  Completely quelled my desire to visit.  I'll spend my money elsewhere, thank you.

  5. I've never been to Italy - well yet anyway lol

I started learning Italian in year 9 and quit in Year 12 to focus on my other studies cos i was struggling. I hope to visit Roma and Venezia when i eventually get over there. I don't exactly know why i want to really. I love the European way of life i've been to Paris and Barcelona and loved both of the cities.

  6. L'Italia e bellissima!

Sorry for any mistakes. Yes I am Italian through my father (who was born there) and I love Italy! All of everything is wonderful, the climate, the people and our language! I have too many favourite cities, but Italian beaches are amazing.... (But the best of the best is Italian Gelato)

  7. I loved Sienna, Venice and Rome. Lovely places to walk around in. But I found people in Rome to be often rude and ready to cheat me. And no, I do not complain like a lot of other people. Nor do I drink and act rowdy.

I will eventually go back for more visits, but probably not to Rome.

  8. I love Italy!!! My parents were born in Italy and came to the US when they were young.  My mom is from Naples, so I am partial to that city.  It's so beautiful and historic and loud.  I love the vibrant life of Italy and the italian people.

  9. I lived in Torino for two years.  I found some things great, like the food, the architecture and the fact that once men got to know you they really acted like gentlemen.  I did find the people to be a lot more rude than they are here in Canada, like when people stand in the middle of the sidewalk and don't let people pass, or when people don't clean up their dog's poo from the sidewalk.  In general, I noticed a lot of things that indicated a lack of respect for strangers (though Italians treat their friends and family really well).  I visited a lot of places, though not Rome or Florence.  I think that I was probably treated really well in the places I did go, as they were more off the tourist track.

  10. Mi piace Italia!

I love Italy! I was there in 2000 before all the crazy political c**p ever since 2001 and the lire was still the money used and the dollar was strong and I found everywhere and everything about Italy to be magical and at that time also affordable. I liked the north, the south, the cities, the small villages-each place had it's own charm, great food, love the sound of Italian, the lifestyle, etc.

I want to return, but now it is SO expensive because of the Euro and the dollar is weak. What city do you live in? I was probably there as I travelled through most of the country.

  11. what I think about Italy --Italy is the land of dreams is a place were you can be at peace

my favorite place is Firenze--- but Roma is real nice to

  12. I have been in Italy a couple of times. I love the history, the art and the culture. So divers, ancient and colorful.

My favorite city is Milan (although I prefer Tuscany to Lombardy).  It's beautiful and less touristy and the people are very nice and more down to earth than in Rome or Venice.

Anche, io sono rossonera! Faccio il tifo per il Milan perche Paolo Maldini e il mio giocatore preferito.
