You can take only 1 suitcase free of charge. The maximum your suitcase can weigh is 50 lbs

it depends on the airline you are taking. MOST but not all airlines allow 2 pieces of checked luggage up to 50 lbs each and 1 free carryon. some airlines charge only for the second piece and some charge for both the first and second piece of checked luggage. fees range from $15-50. I work at northwest and i know its $15 for the first piece and $25 for the second piece but it also depends on when you booked your ticket and what type of ticket it is. most airlines, if you booked the ticket before they decided to start charging for luggage they wont charge you. its best to call the airline and find out for sure or check the website to see if they have the info on there.
