  1. Yes, there should be a very small button on the back (or maybe the front depending on model). It will require a pen or needle to press in.

    Power the router off, press in the button, then power on the router while holding the button in for 5 more seconds.

    This will reset the router back to factory defaults.

    On the back of the netgear router you should see a small reset button.  

    If you want a hard reset (resetting all your settings to their default)   you should google the make and model of the router and search for a hard reset.   Usually it will be pushing and holding the reset button for a certain amount of time... but not always the case.

    you can also try logging into your router by opening a web browser, typing in the URL box

    192.168.1.1

    (or if that doesnt work,  try   192.168.2.1)

    Unless you assigned a password during your installation, you shouldn't need one logging in.

    Once you are in, you can search for any reset buttons on the page displayed
