Try cleaning it with soap and water and then rubbing some lotion into it. If it doesn't clear up after 2-3 days, see a doctor.

Ok if it's a piercing, and i assume it is, don't do any of those things. Wash your hands before you touch it. If you did it yourself, go to the doctor, just do it. You don't want an infection to get bad because you waited to tell someone.  If you got it professionally done look at the paper they gave you, have you been following their instructions? New piercings bleed sometimes but if it's swollen or red at all just suck it up and get to the doctor.If you think it's not infected I suggest you take some warm salt water in a plastic cup and put your belly on top of it. Squeeze it a bit to get SOME suction then lay or sit back for 5-10 minutes, then take it off and Let it dry.  You can do this at the most 2x a day. You want your body to heal itself.  Only wash your piercing twice a day with that orange dial pump soap by putting some in your hands, making foam then putting it on your piercing to wash the crust off. Get foam in there by puling the ring in and out of the piercing GENTLY. Rinse well with water the same way.

For right now, I suggest doing very little.  Clean it with plain old soap and water, apply an antibiotic ointment and put on a bandaid to cover it.  Then make an appointment to see your doctor to see what's going on.  In the waiting, just keep it clean and bandaged, with the antibiotic ointment.  Don't use peroxide, as that destroys healthy tissue.  All you need is soap and water, and the antibiotic ointment- nothing else.
