Hellsing Fans, I've got a question for ya! ^^?

Okay, Well today I went manga shopping and decided to take a look at some unusual manga...Hellsing just happened to be one of them.

I know absolutely NOTHING about this manga and anime...(so honestly don't ask why I picked up a DVD of it and a manga...let's just say I'm an anime/manga fanatic) But I have a few questions about this series...:

-I'm Christian (please do not disrespect my religion :] ), I'm sure it sounds incredibly stupid I picked up a manga with h**l right in the name, though I'm Christian...I didn't just decide NOT to get it because of the title...I'm not going to judge the series by it's name.

So, really, does this manga have any large parts of the story that goes against Christianity? o.O I noticed, right on the front cover alone, that the main character of the cover had a cross on...So at this point I'm terribly confused, lol.

I have no clue wether to read and watch the series or not...;_; I don't want to go against my religion...So I REALLY want to know how this series displays Christianity. ^^ What I'm trying to say is:

'Does this series just use Christianity to go against?' ...Oi, At this point I'm thinking about returning the items, lol. Help?

Im a Christian also and my father is protestant and my mother is catholic and i have been to both types of churches so i find that the opposition between the two in the series is really rather childish. The series is awesome, the art is incredible the story is rather unique etc but it is not created by a christian. So if you are looking for any Christian morals in the series im afraid you wont find that here. I fell in love with the series a couple of years ago but now im starting to question that love. It does seem to be somewhat anti-christian in some of the side stories in the back. Iscariot is very inhumane and they kill people mercylessly and deem non believers as not being human... that is very far from what the Bible tells us. Anyway your choice, some characters are incredible and others are disgusting. May God help you in your choice!
