Help, Big Problem, money wise

Question

I Bought a program off someone from paypal, i installed and day later i scanned and had over 100 viruses, what shall i do, can i do anything to the seller? ty

BEFORE you leave feedback, complain to the seller and see what they do. Remember, feedback is the last card you have to play in the eBay forum, and with sellers now unable to leave negative feedback, they are (for the most part), eager to do the right thing...  

Unfortunately eBay will do very little for you.  I suggest you still take a complaint to them, but be prepared for a long wait and weak response.  

Did you pay with Paypal? You can file a complaint to Paypal and that will get the sellers attention.  File an "item significantly different than described complaint".  That usually lights a fire under even the most lackadaisical seller.  Hope this helps; good luck!

start your computer from scratch again, though you will lose whatever isn't saved to disk, you will also have to re-load all your programms onto your computer.

and a little bit of advice to avoid this situation again: unless you know what you are buying and who you are buying off - STEER CLEAR

I assume you mean you bought the program on eBay? If so, you can report the seller to eBay and give them negative feedback. What kind of feedback do they have? Have any other buyers complained about getting viruses from their product?

You might also file a complaint with Paypal, if that's how you paid for the program, and see if you can get your money refunded.

Hopefully this will be a learning experience from you, and you won't download and install programs unless you know they come from a reliable source!

complain to the organisation (e.g. ebay) you bought it through/ off, if you bought it through an organisation. otherwise theres not much you can do to the seller. give them a bad reputation on the website if you can? good luck getting rid of those viruses
