MY FORD EXPLORER IS GOING HAYWIRE!!! THE GAUGES PEG OUT AND LAST NIGHT MY RIGHT REAR BRAKE LIGHT CAME ON AND RAN THE BATTERY DOWN, JUST THE RIGHT REAR BRAKE LIGHT AND NOTHING ELSE, HEL;P PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. It's going to be something like the firewall connector. It's a HUGE connector that connects all the wiring in the interior through the firewall to the engine compartment. It could also ust be a corroded fuse block. You can remove the fuse block and clean it front and back, and every connection that every wire and fuse makes. Nasty job, lots of chances to mess the system up, make sure the battery is disconnected BEFORE you start. I'd take it to an auto electric shop. Get your check book warmed up. Still cheaper than the damage you are likely to do.

    I would guess the voltage regulator, but it will take knowledge, patience and some equipment to find the root cause, then fix everything that was damaged by the primary failure.
