Help, I'm Having Makeup Problems!?

Question

OK, I don't use makeup that often, but I think I want to start using it more. My mom's fine with it as long as I don't leave the house looking goth or like a tramp. I really like the natural look: I go to a private all girls school, and if I wear lots of makeup or too bright makeup I might get detention. Can someone help me choose colors and kinds of makeup? I also don't wear eyeliner it looks weird on me. I also don't want ANYTHING expensive: only stuff you can get at a like Duane Reade. I also love MAX factor No Color Mascara, so you dont have to add a mascara. Here is what I want: Lip Gloss (light pinks not hot pinks, reds, or purples.) Eyeshadows (Neutrals, like Light Pinks and Beiges, no Bright Colors) MAX Factor No Color Mascara, Blush, and a Good Concealor/Cover Up. That's what I have problems with. The first link(eyeshadow) they have it in a lot of colours so you have choices.

the second(mascara) link they have it in brown for more natural look. there is absolutely no clumps with this mascara.

the third (lipgloss) they have it in lots of colours.

You should go to a Clinique counter at your local mall. I used to work for Clinique during college and they are a great brand for natural looks. I went to private school too and I had to wear very natural Clinique or the nuns would make me take it off.

If you go there, they can color match you and make you excentuate your beauty!

i suggest eyeslipsface for cheap great makeup, and everything is £1.50! its lovely makeup and very cheap!!!

Ok, so first of all i would suggest a light mouse foundation in a light coulor such as ivory,after this i would apply a light ivory coulored concealer.i would then use abit of loose powder on top.

after that i would apply a light pink eyeshadow and a highlighter just above it, to enhance the brows. if you dont like wearing heavy makeup then add a clear mascara which is very good for the lashes! last but least add a small amount of light pink blusher, with light strokes.

Covergirl, Max Factor, Maybelline, L'oreal...they are all drugstore brands that are inexpensive. Eyes Lips Face (E.L.F.) are sold in the US but are hard to find.

For you I would recommend using a tinted moisturizer, it is better for your skin and offers a more natural coverage on your face as an alternative to base and concealer. Use a light blush, Covergirl has blush called Cheekers and they have some nice, light colors. For eyeshadow use a pretty light brown. Also with mascara, brown mascara looks more natural and works better than clear mascara alone.

I started off using Covergirl...It isnt too expensive and they have a bunch of natural shades.Browns[light], pinks, some purples, and even light blues would look great on you. I find the best cover up are off brands. Right now I wear physicians formula...It comes in organic materials and regular which dont make you break out and you dont look pasted. You can find any of these brands at RiteAid,Walmart,Target,grocery stores,and CVS.And little drug store Im sure would have it.I would suggest anything youre comfortable with and what you like.Look over the internet for natural make up tips...Theyre all over youtube.Never go bright...Youll look like youre ready for  a photoshoot for ANTM lol...Hope you find what youre looking for!

Just go to the drug store, and pick stuff out! it sounds like you already know what you want. For eyeshadow, I think Maybelline is a good brand. Pretty much any brand other than WEt&wild is good for lipgloss. And for concealer/powder, I am really picky and only buy MAC, which is really expensive. But I'm sure Revlon or Maybelline would be good.

I would try to buy mineral make up.  It's the best type of makeup which helps improve your skin's overall condition.  I like the brand Bare Escentuals.  It is a little expensive but it will last a long time, plus it has the Skin Cancer Foundation's seal of recommendation.  All their make up looks natural.  You can get really great prices if you buy it from ebay.  You can also get it at QVC, the Bare Escentuals boutique, Nordstorm, and Sephora.  I browse the Bare Escentuals website to see what I am interested in and then I buy them from Ebay.  They have a more economic brand called ColoRevolution which you can get at costco or at Overstock.com but I have never tried it.
