Help, I'm a fussy eater and don't want to be!?

I'm a really fussy eater and have been since I was a toddler. I hate anything green (except apples and grapes, which I don't eat that often) and apart from carrots, don't eat any other veg.

I think that colourful foods such as fruit and veg look amazing, but can't bring myself to put them on my plate. I've heard that hypnotherapy can help, but don't know how to go about finding out more. I don't want to be fussy anymore, I fear for my future health.

  1. Start with what you do like and branch out from there by incorporating new ingredients.

Check out books like "Stealth Health", which tell you how to hide more nutritious things in food.

Watch travel/eating shows like No Reservations and see if it doesn't make you want to try new things.

  2. stop bein a *****

  3. If you think that it looks good then just try it. You may just like it and you never knew cause you would eat it.And if you already have then try it again to make sure that you really don't like it. Your taste buds kinda "grow-up" I guess from when you are little. I was that same way with tonz of stuff. Now I just don't like certain things. That I keep trying just to make sure.

  4. You've got to take a leap of faith and do it. If you really want to eat better than you need to mean it. I was like that too. Good Luck!

  5. Get on a diet go work out get built-up

  6. actually your taste buds are prone to change so things you don't like, you may eventually. i despised tomatoes but now i love them. just keep trying the things you think you don't like. a lot of it is probably you don't like the look so you think you won't like the taste. close your eyes and give them a try!

  7. close your eyes and eat them

  8. so your saying you want to stop eating so eat fruits and vegtables or go on an diet

  9. god just quit being a wuss, just eat the vegetables its not to bad in some dishes, like order chinese takout with vegetables in it and the vegetables taste good in the sauce, even the broccolli

  10. It's all about willpower. If you think they could be amazing, then try them. Have an optimistic viewpoint about what you are eating, because taste is a lot of time psychosomatic, if you think it will taste bad, it will taste worse, if you think it will taste good, it will taste better. Try new foods without being skeptical of the taste, expect them to taste good.

You could also see it this way: the food you are always eating currently you eat all the time, so it is starting to become bland, and you need a new flavor. This helps your mind stimulate the want for different foods.
