Help, I need to find out the mobile number on a sim card that has no credit?????

I purchased a new mobile phone and it came with a sim card, I just wanted the phone, and didnt plan on using the sim card (Vodafone), as I already have one. I have decided to give my daughter the unused sim card, but it has no credit, kids being kids she wants to know the number tonight, before we go and get credit tomorrow, i have heard there is a way to find out the number from the handset by pressing a sequence of buttons, does anyone know what it is please. Your help would be great thanks

Most smart phones like XDA's can show you the sim card number. You just need to go to Settings>Phone and it will show the number there. Or go to Programs>Sim Manager and you can also see the sim card number there.

Maybe even non smart phones has this feature but not sure how or what menu you can see it.
