A scanner brand/company and model number would help in answering this question. Scanners often come with software that you should install on your computer. Then, it should be easy to work with photos for scanning. Check out your list of computer programs to see if this software is already installed or your scanner manual.

You can update your question by clicking on your avatar on the far left corner of most Yahoo Answers pages OR click on the "My Profile" link on the far, upper right corner of the page. This takes you to your Y/A profile page. Go to your "My Questions" area at the bottom, click on the question, mouse over the pencil icon in the toolbar below your question, and click "Add Details". Type in any extra supporting information for your question, and click "Submit".

Once you have your image scanned in JPEG format  (with .jpg, .jpeg, .jpe extension) and its under 5MB in file size, then you can add it to your 360 space in a variety of ways.

    - Click your "My Page" link at the top of your 360 space

    - Click "Edit Profile Photos" over the empty picture frame

    - Click "Browse" and upload photo into an empty field. Then click one "use as primary" radio button on the right before saving.

You can't upload more than 4 profile pictures (this includes an avatar). Make sure that you are following the 360 Personal Photo guidelines here: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/gui... .

You can add it as a customized background (although the file size should be under 250KB). See http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/pro... for more details.

You can also add it to a blog entry in 4 ways, but I'll just list one here:

    - Compose a blog entry

    - Above your entry space, click the "Browse" button for the photo upload tool. Search for the image that's saved to your hard drive.

    - Type some words in the entry space and then save the entry.

    * The picture will appear above your entry and doing it this way, you can only use one picture.

  2. There should be a button on the scanner saying scan or a green button? Then it might ask you were to save the picture to. Save it to 'my pictures'. Then upload through 360
