Help, Tips for High School?????

Question

I will be stating high school in less than 2 wks. and I am so scared. seeing how I don't have any like older brothers or sisters to give me advice and I don't know what to do. I live in colorado and I was wondering (in any high school) what do people wear, what's it like, and just general tips on what to do. Also, I'm going to be in the IB program and I've been in it like all through elementary and middle school but like I heard that the middle and elementary school ones are nothing like the high school ones and if anyone was or is in the IB program how hard is it and how can I manage my time so I can still do things like wk. on the newspaper and do plays.

well, i don't know what IB is, but i am going to be a senior, so i think i can help you out. the most important thing is to be yourself, no one likes a fake. i'm assuming that you have friends coming up with you, so there's no reason to worry about where to sit during lunch. if you think a club or team sounds cool, go for it. don't be afraid to try new things. all the teachers know that this is new to you, so they'll be helpful. just remember to be nice and polite (then the upper classmen won't kill you). Hi Im going into my softmore year this august and i don't have older siblings either so i felt just like you when i was entering high school & on top of that it was a new city where i didn't know anyone. I was sad, scared, and i thought i would get lost =\ But high school is whatever you make it =] some people dress nice cute & some have fun i've turned to look at people where iw as was like woah! halloween's not till october lol it's just like any other school some of the softmore are concided but you'll be fine (by the way i never went 2 8th grade & i bearly went to 7th) & im fine so you will be too! =]

Hi sweetie.

well im going to be a sophmore so ive already experienced freshman year. I have a few things to share with you. GO TO ALL THE FOOTBALL GAMES. GET INVOLVED IN CLUBS. DO NOT TALK s**+* ABOUT PEOPLE. that will only cause drama and make YOUR life harder. umm other than that what you wear makes you unique and you are probably beautiiful so who cares what other people think. dont follow the crowd.

honestly dont sweat over it.

i was sooo nervous waiting for my first day of high school last year and it was actually really entertaining to see how different it was from middle scxhool. So keep your eyes open on the first day and youll see how it all works.

what to wear on the first day, dress normal... dont dress to impress and dont dress sloppy but wear jeans and a polo or a regular shirt. noone cares how you look on the first day, but it is nice to at least look decent when you see all your friends from middle school.

Also its crucial to dress how you feel and how you are, dont wear clothes that are "in" if your not into them, wear what you like.

Also, i think if you stick with your friends and compare schedules you can find who has the same classes. or what classes are in similar areas, so you can find a friend to walk with to each class. it sounds dumb but sometimes walking with friends in he hallway to class is better because youll be less intimidated by the older kids.

Even though itll be an expeirence to see the deff groups and styles of people. Its quite amusing actually :)

alot of people wear preppy clothes like hollister. the best advice that i can give u is get involved! high school is what u make it. i just graduated high school and ive learned from experience
