Help, cheerleading question?

My daughters cheer coach is having practice this fall from 6-8pm. It was a problem last year because she gets up at 5am and so after practice will have to eat supper and finish her homework so she will get to bed way too late to get enough sleep, plus will never have supper with her family. The other problem is the new coach wants the sideline cheerleaders to wear t-shirts with a skort for football games, to save the other uniforms for competetive. I asked why they cannot get new ones and she said she cannot get a strait answer from the atheletic director. Last yr when I expressed concern with the practice time he was very rude stating the cheerleaders always complain about everything. I want to address these issues with the school board and need to know how to word it in an effective way to get results. I really dont understand about the uniforms, the parents would be willing to pay for them, but coach says no because "I don't want to".

  1. she is the coach my sister dealt with the same thing.  And i dealt with it when i was young along with mean dance teachers and harsh singing and acting teachers.  you just have to learn to live with it.  That is what being a cheerleader is all about. They are not going to change practice time because maybe the other sports practice and 6-8 is the only time the gym is free and open for them.  You just gotta deal if your daughter wants to be a cheerleader.  The uniform thin i understand the parents don't pay for every uniform the school does, the parents pay for one.  And that one you get to keep but the others the school pays for and they are expensive just let the coach do her job.
