When i choose the character to move her in the house it loads for a while then appear this message "The application has crashed, the application now will terminate" then closes. I can't move any other family into that house either. Does anybody know is it cause of virus or my anti virus i use Kaspersky Internet Security, does it block it or something because it said something about Terminate at the beginning. By the way i scanned for virus but it's still like that. Help it took me 4 hours to build this house i don't wanna build it again.

  1. This error message is usually caused by dodgy custom content that you have downloaded. By dodgy I don't mean it has a virus...it may be something that has a very high poly count, or something that is simply badly made or incompatible with your other downloads, or with your version of the game.

The first thing to do is to right-click on the your Downloads folder and choose Cut. Now go to your computer's Desktop, right-click, and choose Paste. This will physically move your Downloads folder to your Desktop, preventing the game from reading any of the files in it.

In addition to the Downloads folder, your SavedSims folder may also contain custom content that can cause problems with the game. You need to also remove it as well. You'll find it where you found your Downloads folder in My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2. Do the same thing to it as you did to the Downloads folder. Now both folders are on your desktop, try loading your game.

If you the game works fine without your custom content then the problem is likely within one of the two folders you removed - Downloads or SavedSims.

Complete and easy to follow instructions on how to find the problem files can be found here: http://www.sims2wiki.info/wiki.php?title...

If the game is still crashing even after removing your downloads, then the problem probably exists inside your user files. An easy-to-follow guide to testing without user files can be found here: http://www.sims2wiki.info/wiki.php?title...
