  1. If it's a manufactured laptop with Windows (like dell, hp, etc.) then there should be a disk that came with it to recover lost passwords.

  2. if first time you din not had a password it might be virus.

    install a antivirus and scan.

    thats all i can say

  3. When you firstly start your computer push F5 or F8 and click safe (mode this gets past everything)

  4. i have a feeling if you run it in 'safe mode' you can bypass it and change it. this is often an option during boot-up

  5. What type of computer do you have?

  6. You have to go to BIOS and find it under your user name. The back up might be locked. If it doesn't work than you will need to get a new windows disk. You will be lucky if you have burned a copy

Get AVG or norton when the problem is fixed

  7. if its what i had put in administrator as the user name and nothing for password

  8. Don't give any password or user name. It is probably a fake program, a virus, which someone put on your computer. When you write the password he is automatically receive your details.

You may enabled yourself the option of needing a password  to access your computer without realizing it. In that case run your computer in safe mode (press F4 or F5 or F8 while you are starting your pc) and then remove the option of password.

    I hope that helps.

  9. There are some interesting answers here!!  BIOS (also called setup) isn't relevant to Windows passwords that I ever knew.

Going in via Safe Mode might work - use F8, not F5.  If you get in via Safe Mode, you can probably reset your password.

If you never set a password, try putting in your username and leaving the password field blank.  You may have changed how you log in without realising what the effects would be.

If none of that works, try this:

    http://home.eunet.no/pnordahl/ntpasswd/

Worked for me when I got locked out of our 2000 recently but take it step by step when you are feeling alert.  A note; an ISO image is something that most CD burning programs should be able to deal with.  Use another computer to burn the image onto a CD.
