  1. im so sorry.. but you really should let the little guy go free. Voles arent the kind of animal that you can take care of.

please let him go! i know you care about him  :o)

get yourself a little hamster insted!

  2. not everyone can be wrong and i agree you should let him go and live the life he was meant to live, free.

  3. if its not hurt, then let it go . you would do more harm than good.

  4. Well voles really aren't meant to be kept as pets but I can give you some care information for it... Meadow voles are herbivores, aka plant eaters, in the wild they eat white clover, alfalfa, red clover, dandelion, and horsetail. Those are all wild plants, google image them so you can find some outside since you proabaly haven't heard of any of them besides dandelions. They also eat lettuce and sunflower seeds in captivity. Voles burrow underneath the ground. Voles are typically not kept as pets. When kept in captivity they are usually having their breeding habits studied. If the vole is already an adult you need to relase it because when you attempt to handle it, it will attack you. If it's a baby you can keep it. They drink water. I would reccomend keeping it in a large fish tank filled most of the way with dirt, sparing about a foot. Then I would plant some wild grasses and flowers in the dirt to recreate it's natural eviroment. It'll be a very expensive pet to keep. You should really just release it.

  5. Sorry to say this but by 'caring' for the vole you could be killing it.

Animals from the wild rarely survive in a domestic situation.

If you are truly intent on keeping it then seek help from a VET ASAP
