I am currently studying Nursing in one of the Schools here in the Philippines. I am already in the 2nd year of my bachelors degree. I really like to pursue this course cause i really want to become a nurse. In fact, i have shown a good performance in my studies as evidenced by my high grades and high WPA. Unfortunately, i regret to say that i might have to stop this coming semester, probably by summer of April. Anyone who can help me or give me and advice? What shall i do to continue my study. My parents really got low income, not enough for me to sustain my study.

  1. Fastweb.com is a great resource. Also make sure you've filled out a fafsa as early as possible. It's first come first serve for grants and other financial awards.  Student loas are also great. Up to 40,000 a year (depending on credit), low interest, and no repayment till six months after you finish school. Great way to go if you're out of options. Its better to get in the debt than stop going because you might get out of the school 'rythm' and not want to go back once you stop.

  2. Look for scholarships.  Try fastweb.com, fill out a free profile and the site will match you up with hundreds of scholarships based on the info you provide in your profile.

Also apply for financial aid/grants (which you don't have to pay back), and even loans if you need them.

  3. Get some student loans and apply for some scholarships
