So, i have been on BC and it has been giving me some weird side effects. I decided to switch, and i haven't got in to see my doctor yet. I have since stopped. I thought BC stayed in your system for at least a month so my husband and I had unprotected s*x. Could I be pregnant??? And if so, is there something i can do besides a home pregnancy test, because i have to wait 2 weeks to do that and I need to know!!!

  1. Well since they say to take the pill the same TIME everyday, or it can mess it up, i'd think a whole month off it would leave you pretty unprotected.

  2. You could be, but DO NOT WORRY. That's the worst thing you could do. Have you missed a period? You'll kno if you're pregnant. tender b*****s, morning sickness (not everyone), fatigue also if you think ure period is going to start because you are spotting. That is a also a very good sign that u are. I hope this helps. Good luck!

  3. nope all you can do is wait...there is really not much you can do or take a hm test!

  4. only thing you can do is wait

  5. you can be and go to your doc for a blood test, you results should be back within 2 days

  6. You can absolutely become pregnant in the month after you go off birth control pills. The chemicals can stay in your system for a full month, which is why it is suggested that if you are trying to get pregnant you be off for at least a month, but they provide absolutely no protection once they are not being taken regularly.

I don't know of any pregnancy test, not even blood tests done by the Doctor, that are accurate until you have missed your period. There simply is no way to know right now. It takes a while for your body to build up the hormones that show you as pregnant in tests. It's best at the moment to behave as if you were pregnant (don't drink). Also, if you have intercourse between now and when you can take your pregnancy test, use some other form of birth control.

You can take a test as soon as the day you were due to start your period.

  7. Some people get pregnant WHILE taking BC, so yes you could be. And people can get pregnant as soon as they get off BC. Every woman is different. The only thing you can do besides a home pregnancy test, is a blood test at your doctors. However, it could still be too early for that as well. Hcg takes longer to show in some womens systems. Best of luck.
