Help!, i never removed excess paste from wallpaper now its cracking?

i have over the weekend decorated my bedroom. yesterday i painted one wall but i only remembered after i forgot to wipe the wall down and get off any left over paste.

it has now started cracking (mainly in one area)

just wondering what the best way to go about rectifiying is?

will the 2nd coat cover?

2 nd coat  'll cover . maybe three coats . wipe your joints down with a damp cloth as you go along .

The paint again trick will not work as suggested here...You must basicaly sand the areas where it is cracked..not all the way down to bare wall..just get the ridges off... then you will have to skim over the area with joint compound..sand it and prime... then paint ...I would actually suggest after priming the patched areas ...not to try to just touch them areas up..It would be best just to paint the entire wall again so it dont "picture frame" on you in the patched area...
