  1. call it a corbonated beverage...

  2. Actually, there is no "correct", term. Don't worry about it -- each area is differnet. You can call it soda, pop or a soft drink. In your case, I would say "when in rome do as the romans do" so that they know what you're talking about. Good quesiton.

  3. it doesnt really matter but before soda they called it pop..

  4. they both are right, live in the Ohio area and when visiting the N.Y. area on business I asked for a pop, they looked at me as if I had three ears and someone said '" Oh , you mean ,soda"

    Don't You? What?

So called it soda, and when I got home months later called it soda, and everyone was like what?

So when you are in certain places do as they say, and when you are home do as you say.

  5. There is no "right", they're both the same thing.

  6. both it does matter what you say it means the same thing

  7. Its a regional thing. Both are correct according to their own habits.

  8. It all depends, on where you grew up!!!!!!!!!!

I grew up saying pop, but now that I live in the south, I say, soda.

  9. well personally i hate the word "pop" used 2 describe "soda" which i also hate, so i prefer 2 call it coke

  10. both are right, pop is a north term.  Soda is south.  Actually some places in the south ask for a coke, whether its a coke, sprite or rootbeer.  If you are in the south now, you might try asking for a soda pop, then you won't be mistaken.
