Help, im so screwed!?

Question

i got a minor consuming and a curfew ticket. whats gonna happen in court? the curfew ticket is 500 bucks! and i was gonna get my license this thursday? is getting that completely unlogical now? please help im so screwed. im 16

It probably won't be as bad as you think. I flipped my car twice, went to court, and didn't even get my license suspended.

But it also depends on what state you're in. You'll probably have to attend a seminar class thing on underaged drinking. I don't think they won't let you get your license till you're 18, probably more like 17 perhaps if they even do anything at all about that.

Ryan is righ on the mone on this one.  You anc kiss you license good by until you are 18.  You slim chance. a,d I do me slim is to show a financial or domesitic hardshp such as being unaabl to attend work or providning care to a disabled relative.  Your chances remain slim, at best, but in law it is best never to say never.  This may not be what you want to hear but you have no bussiness consuming alcohol outside of a religious setting anyway and the officers may  well have saved your life by identifying an early ptoblem.  I hope you got the message.

A minor consuming and curfew violation has nothing to do with your driving record. What you did was stupid but I'm sure you realize that now. Getting your license will be up to your parents they have to sign since you are a minor, and they are responsibe if you have an accident.

Sorry Birthday Boy.  Most States are punishing underage drinking with the most powerful thing all teenagers want:  by suspending or delaying their drivers license.

On a good note, you might slide by for a while on a technicality b/c you rec'd your citation so closely to your 16th Bday... meaning if you get your DL's right away, the paper work on the underage consumption might not catch up w/ your new license.

As for the curfew fine, that is really steep!  The court will allow you alternatives, if requested, like trash pick up, graffiti removal, community service.

Stop the underage drinking or you will lose your license for a long time.  And if caught driving with ANY alcohol in your system, you will not drive until you are 21.

There is a possible way, and that is if the charges against you, as a minor can be "sealed", because you were a juvenile, this may already be the case, check it out, before you panic, but do it fast, you may have to appear in court to do this, if it is not the case already, though some jurisdictions do this,. as a matter of course, to protect the juvenile in question....
