Help, ipod isn't working!! im leaving in 20 min to go away for a week and i need it!

ok, i plugged my ipod in my computer to update it before i leave. but itunes is not reading it. the screen on my ipod is "do not disconnect" and it wont restart. im at a loss. please help. im leaving really soon

ok well unplug it and restart turn ur ipod off then turn it back on see if it works after u plug it back in

You probably need to disconnect your ipod anyway. It's a little bit of a risk but you need to. Then reset your computer. If you leave your ipod in the computer it could erase all of your songs. Then plug it back in and update. (o and don't forget to reset your ipod before you put it back in the computer) :) good luck.

if you plugged in your ipod before,

and you left itunes open,

and you didnt eject it.

and plug it back in, it doesnt read it.

so restart itune,

and try now

if that doesnt work,

i dont know :(

try restarting your computer

Try restarting your computer. If that doesn't work, eject your iPod and reset it. Then connect it again. Also try plugging it into a different USB port on your computer.
