  1. just put the food in ur hand, and put ur hand in the cage. u might wanna do this in front of the tv, because it could take a while for ur mouse to trust u enough that itll take the food from ur hand, or climb on. and it could be days till itll just go straight into ur hand. just keep doing this everyday until he does.

also, u might wanna think about getting another mouse if george is the only one in the cage. mice are social creatures, and mice that live together have been known to be friendlier, and more tame.

because u have a male, i would suggest getting another male, but before you put the new guy in the cage, take george out, and clean the cage. U WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT U HAVE TOTALLY CLEANED THE CAGE AND EVERYTHING IN IT OF GEORGE'S SCENT, OR ELSE GEORGE WILL GET TERRITOREAL, AND MAY KILL THE NEW MOUSE!!!

next time, u might wanna get 2 female mice, because if u get a male and a female, they'll get knocked up. plus, male mice tend to smell more, but there are some cheap deoderizers that work great to deal with that.

    good luck!

  2. Let him get used to you.

What you need to do is pet him on the back a few times a day.[not his head or else they tend to freak out].

I bought a hamster today, and he's already used to me petting him up and putting my hands around his sides as if I was going to pick him up. :)

Try doing this, and as soon as you know it, he'll be used to you!

Good luck to you and george.

  3. You need to let him get used to you before you handle him too much. Give him a week or so to get used to your hands in his cage, occasionally pet him. After he is used to you, start hand feeding him. Once he is used to that, slowly star picking him up.

Rodents are skittish, they need to be eased into new situations!

  4. idk write back

  5. Just keep handling him and give him lots of treats when you hold him and don't scare him.

  6. One thing you could try is feeding him from your hand.. and just being really patient with him
