Help, my camera won't stop taking DARK pictures!?

I have a Kodak Easyshare C875, and recently it has started to take really dark pictures. I tried putting all of the settings back to their defaults, but that didn't work. It seems to take "normal" pictures with the flash OFF? Maybe it is a problem with the brightness sensor or something that I cannot fix? Please help!

If your pictures are dark, they are under exposed, not enough light is reaching the sensor. Try it outside and if they are still dark, the lens aperture may not be opening and that need to be checked.
