Help, my computer is stupid?

Why do i loose the internet some times when the phone rings? It's starting to get worst. I have atnt and they say it's not there line.

If you don't have dial-up, I may have an idea...

Do you have a cordless phone and wireless internet? My one friend's WiFi always shuts off when somebody picks up the wireless phone because they're on the same frequency.

Is it dial up? Then of course you do. They won't admit that their lines are fu**ed up, believe me (I have this argument with qwest every week).

If you have high speed or dsl, put filters on your lines, don't use the phone jack on your modem, things like this. Diagnose the problem back to the source. Is it every phone that cuts out or just a specific jack in the house?

ummmm...are you sure the intertnet isn't connected to the phone line??? if you don't have dial-up, I think you should just probably get a higher-speed connection.Verizon FiOS might be your best bet...

wow.......computers aren't stupid, people who shouldn't use them in the first place are
