Help, need pest repellent?

My room is infested with different kinds of insects. The exterminator says he can't do anything about it because I don't have any samples of them and he can only exterminate certain bugs by using certain chemicals. I need a pest repellent that I can plug in or leave in my room to keep them away. I've looked into the Raid fumigator, and the riddex plug-in, does anyone have any success with a product?

cinnamon is a very effective barrier. if the bugs are crawlers, as opposed to flying bugs, sprinkle just a small amount of cinnamon along the perimeter on the floor, and that will keep them out.
