Help, on my mile?

Hi everybody, I'm a 5'6'' 120lbs boy who just started his first track season on early March... I started with horrible 7s, but I have successfully completed my first season with 5:30s(5:34 specifically)... I scored 3rd best freshman boy(in the big 10 championships) in my area....(9th grade, HS)

Since I kind of got into the running bandwagon a tad late, I was wondering how much my times would drop if I ran from here now till the beggining of my next season(11 weeks total)

I plan to run from now, throughout the summer and right into august so I can be even more expereinced...

I am extremely dedicated and I train 6 times a week, with intervals and long distance jogs, but could someone please tell me a goal that I should achieve in 11 weeks?, 5:15 mile? 5min mile? or even.... the wonderous... sub 5 mile?

Thanks for the help

  1. i think that, if you train hard and eat healthy and don't cheat yourself, you can reach a 5 min. mile.

you'll be surprised how much you can cut off your time if you train really hard and eat well.

maybe if your body gets even stronger naturally you'll be sub 5 minute mile....=)

believe in yourself and never give up-it wont be easy at first, but once you reach your goal, you'll be glad you stuck it out. =)
