hey everyone,

last year my 24 year old friend went missing while spear fishing off the big island of hawaii. the sad thing is that at the time his son was 10 days old, and his wife became a widow at 24. a group of his friends and i would like to plan a charity golf tournament in the san fran bay area (his hometown), but have no idea where to start. Any advice would be welcome, we are trying to raise money for his son for college and for his wife to live off of while she takes care of the toddler.

Thank you!

  1. Talk to a Tournament Director at any reputable golf course. That's what they do and they would glad to assist you in the selection in the type of tournament that would be best suited for your purpose.

  2. I would talk to your local courses for assistance in setting this up.  I am sorry to hear about your friend.  For normal charity events I would recomend calling the Mulligan Man If you are in southern california.  It is hard to laugh and have a good time considering the circumstances but he would probably have some advice for you.
