Help, possible tick? furry & gray? what kind of bug is this?

i don't know if this thing is a tick or not, i found it on my carpet.

i thought it was a spider at first, its gray, and has antennas. i've looked up pictures of ticks and it doesn't really look like them.

it has six legs, the front two pairs the same short size, and the back ones are longer. its also has a furry appearance all over. help?

Ticks are grey if they are larger like about a quarter of the size of your little finger nail. They have soft smooth skin. It is like very soft leather. If is not furry. You could have got a small grey Tranchela spider. You could try the bug guide web site.
