Question:

Help, secondary school marks!?

Hi. I am now in S4. In S3 I received marks for my tests and on average I got mostly 3's and 4's. Is it possible to improve these marks in S4 so I will be able to get credit marks (1's and 2's?). Because I haven't been taking school very seriously lately but now I am.

So is it possible to do the credit exams in S4 if I have general (3's and 4's) marks? I want as good marks as possible and I'm willing to put A LOT of effort into it.

I seriously need to get my act together.

Thank you in return.

  1. Hi, I'm goin into 5th year lol..doin int2s cos i was like u in 3rd and 4th year..except i never really tried for credit cos i didn't admit how much better that would look on my certificate =/

    Are u not sittin credit/general? cos u could get a 1 or 2 nxt year but if ur doin foundation/general u could get a 5 or 6

    I don't know who said s grades were easy tho..cos they're not!

    Good luck x

  2. I'm in roughly the same position as you are. I have a natural aptitude for schoolwork, but I didn't see the point in studying for an exam that has no bearing over what happens in the future(The ones in S3, not S4. the S4 ones are massively important) I recommend when the time comes to buy Past papers for the tests you will be sitting later on in the year and studying the subjects until you can get very high marks in all of them. They don't change the difficulty massively so if you can get A's in the past papers consistently you can increase your chances of high marks greatly. Study hard and set out a regime for homework and study etc.. and you can achieve your desired marks.
