Help, suggestions, opinions from natives or immigrants!?

I m an Indian national living in the US for 4 yrs, but for personal reasons I may not be staying here for too long. I can go back to my home country, but I want to live and work some place else before I do that.

My first choice is either Australia or Singapore (both are close to India). But I am open to some countries in Europe as well (UK, Germany, Netherland, France, & Sweden). I wanted to know if anyone has migrated to any of those places recently, and how was it, what would be needed, how hard/easy was it to get work/study Visa, or any info you could provide would be appreciated.

I know the world economy is slow in general, but otherwise what are the prospects in these countries? I can even go to school, and am open to absolutely ANY suggestions. Basically, I am kinda re-starting my life, so I am looking at all options. Thanks!

  1. I'm currently living in Germany. I don't think there are too many job opportunities here or in any other European countries (except for the UK). Maybe you would like the UK because there are many Indian nationals living there and you wouldn't feel alone. If you are well-qualified, they would definitely hire an Indian. I don't know much about the other places you asked about, I'm sorry. Immigration is not easy these days but I'm sure you know that.

  2. When you say an Indian national you mean fron India, right.

  3. You can go to France, Germany or Italy an take a 3rd Language Classes :) That would be fun, and the process is not difficult at all.

    Good Luck.
