  1. For breakfast: cereal, otameal or eggs (boil)

    snack: fruits or yogurt

lunch: noodles, pb&j, ham and cheese, mac and cheese, grilled cheese.

snack: fruits or yogurt, sometimes animal crackers or cheerios.

    Dinner: whatever I cook..

My children don;s drink juice.. i try to give them water as much as I can sometimes they have it when we eat out!.

  2. I would say just chose something for the first week that you think she will like. After this talk to a teacher or parent to find out what the other kids are bringing. Usually kids don't want what you fix them, but if they see other kids eating something they will want that even if it's something they normally wouldnt eat.

  3. Ohh I have a picky 2 year old, and believe me if i made her eat what i was eating she wouldn't eat at all!! It was many of months that she lived on bagles and macncheese.. i've now got it down that i have been adding "new" foods chicken, fish sticks, grilled cheese, pbj & fluff. I notice with my daughter if I take the time and sit down with her and help her to the extend that she allows me to help she will eat diffrent healthier foods! I've yet to get a vegtable in her!! Good luck!

  4. I would supply a little extra for the first day or two, to give choices and also since her appetite varies.  (That could also align with growth spurts.)  Have you asked the teacher what is recommended?  I would stay with old stand-by favorites, not go with something new.

  5. Have you thought about the Gerber graduate meals? My 2 year 6 month old neighbor loves them.

Introduce new things since young kids and babies have "empty palates"

What I fed my son when he was 2 (he's now 5)

    breakfast:

    oatmeal with added sprinkles

    fruit bowl (chopped bananas,apples,melons,berries,oranges)

    raisin brand dry

toast with jam or light butter

    eggs

turkey bacon cooked in olive oil

    Omelet

    French toast

Smiley face pancakes with light syrup

    breakfast beverages:

    Goat milk

pure orange juice or grape juice

    Lunch:

    chicken

    turkey

    sanwhiches

    etc. etc. etc.

  6. I feed my 2 year old the same thing I eat, just in smaller portions.  There is no reason why a child of 2 with as much teeth as they have and their digestive system is stable enough, that they can not eat the same foods you do.  Unless they are sick or supposed to be on a special diet.  He has been eating like this since he was about 12 months old we just had to prepair it differently.  They should be off of formula completely by this time.

  7. Dips will be your friend. Ketchup, B-bq sauce, mustard. My 2 year old dips just about anything and as long as she can make some disgusting looking food, she will eat it. Example: yogurt on top of her toast.

For school: try a quick sandwich, a baggie of goldfish and those fruit snacks that come in the packages, and some baby carrots, throw in a capri sun and call it a day.

  8. From the Frozen section:  Chicken strips (get the ones that look like real meat on the inside, not the overly processed, smashed together kind), meatballs, single serving "steamfresh" veggies, South Beach diet has some low fat pizzas with a whole grain crust

Fridge: Hot dogs, pre-cooked ham, pre-cooked turkey, cheese sticks, string cheese, yogurt

Aisles:  Whole wheat mini-bagels, granola bars, Target has some organic fruit strips, my son LOVES these

Produce:  Bananas, apples, oranges, baby carrots, edamame, grapes

  9. I've babysit the same 2 children for alost 2 years from the ages of 6 months to 4 years... the 2 year old girl, I feed her PB&J  for lunch, just a half of a sandwhich using 1 piece of bread and I cut it in half.  I also give her yogurt or fruit as well.  For breakfast she eats either half a bagel with a little butter  or  one of the mini eggo waffles, just plain with milk.

I worked at a daycare that supplied food, we usually fed the 2 year olds Pb&J for lunch and cereal for breakfast
