  1. Good luck -- Ireland in general, and Dublin in particular, is a much more cosmopolitan place these days, and there's not too many places that serve the old "traditional" Irish fare, apart from the few remaining that cater to the few who still want that sort of food (such as American tourists).  I'd go to the tourism office, or Bord Failte (the one in Dublin city centre is on the south side near Temple Bar), they may be able to direct you to puds and such that still serve traditional fare (because it's mostly tourists that want it, the places that do serve it will likely make themselves known to the tourism office).

Actually, one place you could try is Knightsbridge, on the northside Quays near O'Connel Street; they're a pretty touristy bunch there (even have Irish dancers in the evenings, or used to anyway).

  2. i think that gallagher's (good answer) DOES have a corned beef & cabbage boxty- which is like a crepe/savory pancake filled with meat and vegetables. the restaurant is lovely. touristy, yes, but the food is actually excellent and it's not SOOOO over the top- no leprechauns, etc. get reservations the day of or before, though....their potato leek soup is excellent, too.

  3. Try Gallaghers Boxty House: 20 Temple Bar,

Dublin 2. Or try Kilkenny Shop, Cafe & Restaurant: 5-6 Nassau Street, Dublin 2. If not those, idk.
